Portraiture to me - is about seeking and capturing beauty that people easily miss.
It is about photographing the ‘perfection’ of being human and making people feel and resonate with what makes us human.
It is about turning what is subtle and unspoken into something that is tangible and beautiful - so we can appreciate it better.
It is about loving people, connecting with them, and drawing out a side of them that is worth preserving.

The trace of humanity is important in our work.
The sensuousness of the body, the honesty of the face, the strength in the eyes, the organic flow of texture and fabrics, those tiny moments and tiny gestures that go unnoticed – is what moves me.

Through combining aesthetics with curation and utilising our expertise on styling and lighting, we thrive in making beautiful, emotionally engaging images, and telling memorable stories. In our branding work, we also capture the vision and identity of a brand that often traditional marketing does not express.

biography
Jada Poon is a photographer & creative visionary with a mission to inspire connection, empower women & redefine beauty.
In 2012, having graduated with a law degree from Oxford University and practised for a brief period in Hong Kong and London, Jada left her legal career and travelled to Mexico, where her photography and life journey began. She trained with some of the world’s most renowned fine art portrait/wedding photographers including Jose Villa and Elizabeth Messina. At the same time, her heart for women also grew over the years as she became involved in anti-human trafficking work, in Hong Kong and Cambodia.
Bringing together her background from studying fashion design and working in non-profit and the justice system, Jada has a strong vision to empower and celebrate humanity through her work, bringing together conceptual visuals and emotional stories in a way that is known to move and connect people.
In combining both visual and narrative, she conveys important messages in life in a modern and powerful way.
Jada currently lives in Hong Kong but flies all around the world for work and explorations. In her spare time, you will find her enjoying the magic moments of life with Simba (golden retriever who never stops smiling), making acrylic paintings, exploring independent designer and lifestyle boutiques, immersing in soulful conversations (or intellectual debates) with friends and random people, sipping matcha latte in a jazz bar (yes matcha latte!), and surrounded by scented candles and cafe latte roses.
She also loves traveling and immersing herself in new experiences and cultures. Having lived in multiple countries including Hong Kong, England and New York, she channels her experiences into crafting unique connections and aesthetics into her shoot concepts.
